Records Transfers

Transferring records

—Physical transfer of the records is the responsibility of the depositing agency in most cases.

—Fill out and send online " Records Transfer Request Form."

—Contact Layne Sawyer to arrange a date and time of transfer.

—Deliver the records to the loading dock on the Capitol Street side of the Archives Building (see map for directions). Use the call box just to the left of the loading dock door to request access.

—Transfer custody of the records and obtain a receipt. A more detailed transmittal will be sent to you later.

—Records that do not have a permanent retention period or are not properly prepared for transfer may not be accepted.
