The poster celebrating 2010 Oregon Archives Month. The State Archives is holding an event on Saturday October 30 as a finale to Archives Month.
Archives Month Finale at the State Archives
October is Archives Month and the month-long recognition culminates with a special Saturday event at the Oregon State Archives . The Archives will be open from 10:00 until 3:00 on Saturday October 30th.
Staff will be conducting tours of the facility each hour which will give visitors the chance to see the records storage area and learn more about the programs at the archives and how researchers can use the records preserved at the facility.
Examples of actual records will be displayed and used to illustrate and explain how to conduct research and utilize the resources of the Archives. The research room will be staffed to allow Individuals to conduct research during the Saturday hours.
The Archives Building is located at 800 Summer Street NE in Salem. The normal hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 8:00-4:45.
