Review County and Special District General Records Retention Schedule Revisions

Background
The current County and Special District General Records Retention Schedule addressing Assessment and Taxation Records, OAR 166-150-0015, requires changes to update and clarify the retention periods for appraisal, tax roll and assessment roll records. The necessary changes were noted and brought to Division staff’s attention by staff with the Oregon Department of Revenue.

A draft of the proposed retention schedule is available for review in PDF showing the proposed retention schedule changes.

Review notes
Three records series have been modified. Proposed changes are in red.
-- The change to assessment records is to correct a typographical error to the retention period.
-- The changes to Assessment and Tax Rolls are to clarify the retention period.
-- The changes to Assessment Rolls are to clarify the retention period.

Comment period
