Student Workers Contribute to Archives Goals

Several students are working in various capacities at the Oregon State Archives this summer. The staff of the Archives would like to thank the following students for their valuable contributions:

 

Crystal Chase
Crystal is a 2002 graduate of Sprague High School and attends Georgetown University where she is a Junior majoring in International Politics. This is the first year that Crystal is an intern at the State Archives. Crystal has been working on a number of projects this summer, including data entry of 1850 and 1860 censuses, and transcribing early governors messages.

Amber Plambeck
Amber is a 2003 South Salem High School graduate. She is returning to Pacific Lutheran in the fall for her Sophomore year. She is a Nursing major. This is Amber’s second year as an intern at the State Archives. Amber has been working on a number of projects this summer, including data entry of 1850 and 1860 censuses, and transcribing early governors messages

Katie Kilgore
Katie is a 2002 Sprague High School graduate. She is a Junior at University of Oregon majoring in History and minoring in Japanese Language. This is Katie’s third year as an intern for the State Archives. A major portion of Katie’s time this summer has been spent gathering and logging updated information for the 2005-2006 edition of the Oregon Blue Book.

Bob Reinhart
Bob is a 1996 graduate of Cascade High School. He graduated from Willamette University in 2000 with a degree in History. He spent the 2000-2001 school year in eastern Germany on a Fulbright Grant. He is currently working on his Master’s degree in History at the University of Oregon. Bob has been working on a number of projects this summer including extracting information from probate records on early Oregonians, and processing records from Governor Kitzhaber’s administration.

Stephanie Evans
Stephanie is a 2002 graduate of South Salem High School and is a Junior at Oregon State University majoring in English and minoring in Spanish. This is the first year that Stephanie is an intern at the State Archives. Stephanie has been working on reboxing, flattening, and refoldering Umatilla County divorce records.
