State and local government agency employees are invited to participate in the IPER Essential Records and Records Emergency Preparedness Training in a webinar setting during July, 2011 as detailed below.

Course Instructor: Oregon IPER Instructional Team
Description: The IPER Essential Records Webinar presents a step-by-step approach to developing an essential records program that is based on FEMA’s COOP guidance. The course covers identification, protection, accessibility, and implementation of a scalable essential records program. This particular webinar will include discussions of OREGON-specific guidance and resources. This webinar is offered in four sessions (90-120 minutes each), delivered twice a week for two weeks on July 5, 7, 12, 14, 2011. This training is pre-certified for FEMA, IIMC, and ACA continuing education credit.

Description: The Records Emergency Planning and Response Webinar extends what you learned during the first IPER webinar, Essential Records, about how to identify and secure essential records which are critical to Continuity of Operations (COOP). It broadens the focus to all records so that agencies can plan for protecting and recovering both essential records and others that are also important or useful, should an emergency occur. This particular webinar will include discussions of OREGON-specific guidance and resources. This webinar is offered in four sessions (90-120 minutes each), delivered twice a week for two weeks on July 19, 21, 26, 28, 2011.
