2011 Planning
We need your photos!
As part of the Oregon Archives Month celebration we are creating a poster that will include images from around the state which are housed in archives repositories. Please help us by contributing a photo from your institutional collection that speaks to this year's theme of creating communities in Oregon, with community defined broadly - from a physical place to a sense of being.
Oregon Archives Month Statewide Planning Committee met several times since January, 2011 and decided on the following:
1. Our theme this year will be 'Celebrating Communities'
2. We will request that the State Historical Records Advisory Board's annual poster reflect this theme.
3. We will participate in the national 'I Found it In the Archives' campaign. This document was prepared by an Archives Month Committee Member to describe and provide instruction to institutions who wish to participate. (Note: As of September, 2011 we have not received information from any institutions about this campaign. We will re-evaulate this effort in the 2012 Archives Month Planning Group)
4. We will post Archives Month events at participating institutions. Please send information about your 2011 activities. They will be listed on the Calendar page. Send to daniel.e.cantrall@state.or.us
