Series documents announcements made by the governor on various activities or events. Contents include subject of proclamation, date, and governor's signature.

A wide variety of subjects include Beef for Father's Day, National Child Safety Week, Equal Opportunity Day, National Traffic Memorial Day, Potato Chip Month, Helen Keller Day, Loyalty Day, March of Dimes Month, and World Day of Prayer.

Some of the agencies included are the Capitol Planning Commission, Columbia Basin Interagency Commission, Board of Control, Forestry Department, Land Board, Public Welfare Commission, Unemployment Compensation, Dept. of Water Resources, and Dept. of Veterans Affairs.

Series documents activities involved in the extradition of criminals, both to and from the State of Oregon. Records include action reports, travel vouchers for retrieving prisoners, extradition requests from other states, and investigation reports requested by the Governor to aid in his extradition decisions.
