Arrangement: Most of the appointment records are arranged alphabetically by the name of the entity. Other records are arranged by folder title.

Series documents the actions of the Governor’s Office in making appointments and reappointments to various state agencies, boards, commissions, task forces, work groups, advisory panels, and other entities as well as for filling vacancies in the Oregon Legislative Assembly. Subjects include the qualifications of applicants and nominees, ethics issues, financial management and audit questions, Senate approval, political issues, abolished and inactive entities, and other topics. Records include interest forms, resumes, correspondence, memoranda, reports, e-mail, phone and mail lists, and related documents. Some of the individual file records date to the 1980s.
