Governor John A. Kitzhaber's Administration

Record Series Descriptions

Oregon Agreement Advisor Records
Office/Function: Natural Resource Office
1.7 cubic feet
Arrangement: By folder title

Records document the actions of the governor’s advisor on the Oregon Agreement. The Oregon Agreement sought to further the view that a healthy environment and strong economy can work together. The goal was to work in partnership with the federal government to reduce the "mandate, regulate, litigate" prevailing mentality and to cooperate with all levels of government. The Oregon Plan for Salmon and Watersheds is an example of a project using the concepts. Records include correspondence, reports, memoranda, legislation, clippings, notes, e-mails, and related documents. Many of the records are publications and copies of reports from elsewhere.
