Series documents the actions of the Oregon Workforce Quality Council. The council was created in 1991 to coordinate and enhance the delivery of workforce education, employment, and training by numerous state and local agencies statewide. It oversaw the actions of 15 regional workforce quality committees throughout Oregon. The council was sunsetted in 1997 and was succeeded by the Workforce Quality Cabinet. Many of its functions were later assumed by the Oregon Workforce Investment Board after the passage of the federal Workforce Investment Act of 1998.
