Health Care Association. Said they have talked with Merkely about the –3 amendments and they do not support it.

Says the agency already has the information on database and all they need to do is place it on the internet.

Says nursing home information is already on the internet through HICFA, but other kinds of information in not available for the consumer on the internet.

Explains there’s a lot more out there besides nursing homes, there are many other facilities that people are now being placed in such as foster homes a another alternative care.

Says he has the same concerns as those expressed by Chair Hill especially as there is no fiscal report on this proposal.

Says SDSD has been with them every step of the way and that staff has assured them they can absorb the cost in their operations, and apologizes that no one from SDSD is at the hearing today.
