opposition to SB 1023 acknowledging that judges were granted two increases by
the 2001 legislature, but says they had not had a raise since July 1997. Indicates that the first raise took the
circuit court judges from 46th in the nation to 40th; still below
their goal of reaching mid-point of national salaries. States these are not easy jobs and there
is no justification for rescinding the second salary adjustment. |
