004	Chair Doyle	Calls meeting to order at 1:30 p.m. and opens a public hearing on HB 2399.
HB 2399 – PUBLIC HEARING
	Chair Doyle	Notes that the committee will be considering the HB 2399-1 amendments (EXHIBIT A), which replace the bill.
019	Mike Dewey	Oregon Cable Telecommunication Association. Thanks Rep. Close for the use of her bill for the amendments. Explains the HB 2399-1 amendments (EXHIBIT A) are the same as HB 2444 that has passed this committee and the House floor. It deals with the six percent tax on boxing and wrestling pay-per-view events. Explains that an Oregon Tax Court decision found that the tax on interstate transmission was unconstitutional. They feel it is appropriate to clear up the statute by removing the tax.
	Dewey	Explains that HB 2444 got caught in the Senate and is not moving.
036	Rep. Barnhart	Asks if this is the same language as the language in HB 2444.
	Dewey	Responds it is the same language.
044	Chair Doyle	Closes the public hearing and opens a work session on HB 2399.
