Testifies in support of the SB 550-3 amendments because the changes are reasonable and benefit both small school districts and large districts and discusses the at risk fund.

Testifies in support of the SB 550-3 amendments. Points out that there is little data on services for children with disabilities and who the children are and recommends that if this bill should pass the districts need to be collecting good data.

Testifies in support of SB 550 because it a positive step towards helping school districts with high cost students.

Explains that some language needs to be clarified in the SB 550-3 amendments on lines 15-16 regarding weights and states that it can wait until the house side.

Asks if one school district used the local option and several other school districts rejected it, would they be in violation of the constitution regarding school equity.

Responds that there are no guarantees but that it is set low enough that it should hold up in court.

Responds that there are a lot of questions around that and it would depend on how much money was raised.
