Committee Administrator.  Explains that the public hearing on HB 2179 was held February 15, 2005, at which time DCBS representatives discussed the need to adopt alternative regulatory processes for emerging technologies relating to building codes.  Reports that there is a subsequent referral to the House Committee on Trade and Economic Development.
