HB 2741 – PUBLIC HEARING
077	Jim Gardner	Hertz Corporation. Testifies in support of HB 2741. Explains that it would create an option for rental car companies to register new vehicles for one-year, two-year, or four-year period to avoid confusion when changing license plates. Notes the potential amendments that would require vehicle renewals to be for two years to conform to the ODOT renewal system.
152	Rep. Beyer	Asks if keeping vehicles for a year is standard across the rental car industry.
155	Gardner	Answers that it is the “industry standard prompted in part by regulatory authorities like ports and airports.”
163	Chair Gilman	Closes the public hearing on HB 2741.
166	Houser	Describes the April 8, 2005 committee meeting in Bend.
220	Rep. Beyer	Asks about the composition of the work group to address the speed limit in school zones.
225	Chair Gilman	Assigns Rep. Beyer as the chair of the work group.
