SB 55B – WORK SESSION
005	Theresa Van Winkle	Committee Administrator. Explains the provisions of the measure and the amendments.
015	Chair Metsger	Explains the reasoning for originally not concurring. Feels after further review of the amendments they are comfortable passing the measure. Asks Mr. Gallagher to offer his opinion on work that can be done over the interim.
039	Tom Gallagher	Professional Land Surveyors of Oregon. Offers his thoughts on the roles of independent boards and commissions.
067	Rep. Anderson	Observes it would be helpful to have a coordinator.
081	Sen. Burdick	MOTION: Moves SB 55B to the floor with the recommendation that the Senate CONCUR in House amendments dated 05/20/05 and REPASS the Measure.
090	Rep. Anderson	States that he has a whole file full of testimony in favor of SB 55B and that he supports moving the measure forward.
093		VOTE: 6-0-0
	Chair Metsger	Hearing no objection, declares the motion CARRIED. SEN. METSGER will lead discussion on the floor.
096	Chair Metsger	Closes the work session on SB 55B. Adjourns the committee at 9:40 a.m.
