005	Chair Ringo	Calls the meeting to order at 11:35 a.m. and opens a work session on SB 887B.
SB 887B – WORK SESSION
	Judith Callens	Committee Administrator. Submits the –B22 amendments (EXHIBIT A), the –B28 amendments (EXHIBIT B), and the –B31 amendments (EXHIBIT C) to SB 887B.
006	Chair Ringo	Mentions there are several amendments before the committee. Believes the focus is on the –B28 amendments. Asks Sen. Devlin to explain the –B28 amendments.
010	Sen. Devlin	Believes everyone understands the original bill. Explains that the date for the business entities identified by the indicators in the bill would be extended to 2035 instead of 2040.
014	Chair Ringo	Asks about the mentioned entities.
015	Sen. Devlin	Replies the entities are Nike, Columbia Sportswear, ESI and Techtronics.
016	Chair Ringo	Verifies the date is extended for those entities until 2035.
017	Sen. Devlin	Affirms. Points out that is instead of 2040. Adds that Nike and Columbia Sportswear would be extended additional five years to 2040 unless the Legislature takes action to prevent that from happening. Explains the –B28 amendments delete the mediation language from SB 887B.
021	Chair Ringo	Explains there is a suggestion regarding Section 10 of the –B28 amendments. States they are waiting for amendments. Recesses the meeting for 10 minutes at 11:37 a.m. and the committee stands at ease.
029	Chair Ringo	Calls the meeting back to order at 12:04 p.m.
030	Sen. Devlin	MOTION: Moves to ADOPT SB 887-B28 amendments dated 07/28/05.

051	Sen. Devlin	MOTION: Moves SB 887B to the floor with the recommendation that the Senate CONCUR in House amendments dated 06/08/05 and that the bill be FURTHER AMENDED by the –B28 amendments dated 07/28/05 and the measure be REPASSED.
