Committee Administrator. Submits the B22 amendments (EXHIBIT A), the B28 amendments (EXHIBIT B), and the B31 amendments (EXHIBIT C) to SB 887B.

Mentions there are several amendments before the committee. Believes the focus is on the B28 amendments. Asks Sen. Devlin to explain the B28 amendments.

Believes everyone understands the original bill. Explains that the date for the business entities identified by the indicators in the bill would be extended to 2035 instead of 2040.

Asks about the mentioned entities.

Replies the entities are Nike, Columbia Sportswear, ESI and Techtronics.

Verifies the date is extended for those entities until 2035.

Affirms. Points out that is instead of 2040. Adds that Nike and Columbia Sportswear would be extended additional five years to 2040 unless the Legislature takes action to prevent that from happening. Explains the B28 amendments delete the mediation language from SB 887B.

Explains there is a suggestion regarding Section 10 of the B28 amendments. States they are waiting for amendments. Recesses the meeting for 10 minutes at 11:37 a.m. and the committee stands at ease.
