Alkali Lake in circa 1974. The area lies 60 miles north of Lakeview next to U.S. Highway 395. This photograph is one of many submitted with a detailed appraisal report prepared by a Division of State Lands appraiser on over 5000 acres of land proposed for exchange. The State Land Board exchanges land in order to consolidate contiguous ownership for better management.
