Subject: The Board is statutorily required to adjust the
amount of the maximum annual license fee for a maritime pilot for each
subsequent biennium by a proportional amount equal to the percentage change in
the 24-month period prior to the beginning of the biennium in the
Portland-Sale, OR-WA, Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers for All Items,
as published by the Bureau of Labor Statistics of the United States Department
of Labor. The cumulative CPI for the previous period will increase the license
fee from $2,682 to $2,718 annually.
