Present Duties
The Oregon Arts Commission works with a variety of customers to promote the arts in Oregon. From the individual artist to organizations and educational institutions, the commission acts as an advisor and catalyst. Commission staff help build local ability to improve community involvement in the arts and annually undertakes specific projects serving Oregon’s cultural community. The commission provides grants to non-profit arts organizations and individual artists, information about arts resources in Oregon and support for lifelong arts education experiences.
