Present Duties
The Corporation Division assists the public in registering business entities, filing public notice of records of debt, commissions notaries public, investigates notary complaints and provides certifications of records and notarized documents. The division provides the general public and businesses with access to Public Record information to help them learn more about those with whom they are doing business. The division also publishes the Oregon Business Guide and provides information on regulatory requirements and services available to citizens wanting to start a business or hire employees in Oregon.
