Present Duties
The Elections Division assures the uniform interpretation and application of Oregon’s election laws. The division provides the public, elected officials, candidates, the media and interested parties with advice and assistance in all matters related to elections.
The division receives candidate filings for state offices, initiative and referendum petitions, campaign contribution and expenditure reports, and other election documents. The division publishes and distributes the state Voters’ Pamphlet for primary and general elections. Complaints of alleged election law violations are investigated and processed by the Elections Division.
