Present Duties

The Pacific States Marine Fisheries Commission (PSMFC) is dedicated to resolving fishing issues and represents California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Alaska. PSMFC promotes and supports policies and actions directed at the conservation, development and management of fishery resources. PSMFC serves as a primary contractor on state and government funded grants and contracts. In addition, PSMFC collects data and maintains databases on salmon, steelhead and other marine fish for fishery managers and the fishing industry.
