EDUCATION

Oregon’s children are our first responsibility and our greatest resource for the future. Schools need stability in funding and in curriculum, equity throughout the state, more teaching, and less testing.

JOBS AND THE ECONOMY

Oregon’s businesses and workers have struggled in recent years. Oregon needs to stand out as a place with strong schools, health care, and public infrastructure. State government must focus on keeping Oregonians working at good jobs and creating commercial opportunities for businesses to thrive.

STATE BUDGET

Oregon operates with a balanced budget. Legislators need to establish a “rainy day” reserve fund and examine the over seven billion dollars in exclusions, deductions, and credits that drain state revenue. It is our responsibility to adequately fund schools, human services, and public safety while remaining accountable to Oregon taxpayers.

SENIORS AND VETERANS

Oregon’s seniors need affordable health care and lower prices for prescription drugs. Veterans should expeditiously receive the care and benefits they have earned.

ENVIRONMENT

Oregon’s natural resources deserve protection. Proper management enhances both the economy and quality of life. Clean rivers, healthy forests, and diverse ecosystems are productive.
