When divisiveness split the nation over the moral question of slavery, a few brave men and women with the courage of their convictions formed the Republican Party.
Their solution was to embody in our Constitution the truth in their hearts that all human life has dignity and value, and is a priceless gift from God. They were not afraid to use the law to correct moral injustice.
Others believed compromise and appeasement would soothe social tensions but Republicans knew that this would be unity without honor, peace without principle.

4) Light Rail: Opposes pork barrel spending for the "Portland Toy Train Project".

6) World Trade Organization: Opposes.
7) Homosexuality: Opposes "gay sensitivity training" in our schools and homosexual marriages.
8) Term Limits: Supports them.
9) 2nd Amendment: Supports the right to keep and bear arms.
10) Taxes: Supports a Flat Tax.
