Understanding Our Priorities:
It's about safety. I voted to increase the number of sex offenders who have to register with the state. It is important to communities that they know when a sex offender is living nearby.
It's about education. We need value from our education dollar as we return to basics - teaching the three R's and skills that will guide our students into the future. I voted to increase education funding to reduce class sizes and I will always fight for stable funding for our schools.
It's about protecting seniors. I voted to protect seniors from the fraudulent scams that target them. I also voted to reduce property taxes for seniors.
It's about accountability. I want to shut down the corporate loopholes which allow out-of-state companies to get away with paying less taxes in Oregon. People have to pay their fair share.
It's about a different kind of leadership. I seek public office because I see a legislature in chaos and schools in crisis. I want to find solutions to our school funding problems and protect our children and seniors. And I want to restore fiscal sanity to state government.
